studiokalex is a design and engineering practice. Websites, 3D and motion, built end to end.

We work in the browser rather than in static mockups. Type, motion and load order turn out to be one decision, and it is easier to judge running than described.

What working with studiokalex from the US or UK looks like

studiokalex is a design and engineering studio in New Delhi that designs and builds custom websites, Shopify stores, 3D websites and brand identities for companies in the US, the UK and worldwide. One team does the design and the code, so nothing is lost in a handover between agencies.

Quotes are fixed before work starts and paid in milestones, in US dollars or pounds sterling. When the project is paid for, the repository, Figma files, CMS and hosting accounts are in your name.

How the time difference works

India Standard Time is UTC+5:30 all year. London is 4½ hours behind IST in summer and 5½ in winter, and New York is 9½ hours behind in summer and 10½ in winter. A UK morning overlaps our afternoon, and a US East Coast morning overlaps our evening.

We hold a daily window for live calls inside that overlap. Everything else is written: a Slack channel with an update at the end of every working day, and a shared board with every task, owner and due date, so you know where things stand without asking.

What we build for companies abroad

Why companies hire a studio in India

The usual reason is cost: senior design and engineering costs less in New Delhi than in London or New York. The usual worry is quality and communication, so the work is visible from the start: a staging link you can open any day, written updates, and Core Web Vitals checked on a mid-range phone before launch.

Every site is built in Next.js with its copy in the server-rendered HTML, so it loads fast and search engines and AI assistants can read every word. Technical SEO, Google Search Console and Google Analytics are set up as part of the build.
