Motion graphics & motion design studio
Launch films, explainers and logo animation in 2D and 3D, made to work with the sound off.

Everything from brief to handover
Kalex Studio is a motion design studio in New Delhi making launch films, product explainers, logo animation and UI motion for brands in India, the US and the UK. We animate in 2D and 3D, in After Effects and Blender, and cut every piece to hold attention in the first three seconds with the sound off, because that is how most of it will be watched.
- 01
Script & storyboard
The message in one line, then a frame-by-frame storyboard signed off before any animation starts.
- 02
2D motion graphics
Kinetic typography, illustrated explainers and animated diagrams, made in After Effects.
- 03
3D motion & product films
Products and scenes modelled and animated in Blender, from turntables to short cinematic launch films.
- 04
Logo animation
A signature logo reveal plus short stings for video intros, outros and social posts.
- 05
UI & product motion
App and website interactions animated for launches, demos and App Store previews, with Lottie files your developers can ship.
- 06
Cut-downs for every placement
16:9, 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16 versions with captions, sized for each platform you post on.

Why most brand animation gets scrolled past
Nothing happens in the first three seconds
Feeds autoplay on mute, and a slow logo build loses the viewer.
The story needs the voiceover
Most social video is watched without sound, so a story told only in narration never lands.
Every piece moves differently
Without rules for easing and timing, every freelancer animates your brand their own way.
One export for every placement
A 16:9 film cropped to 9:16 cuts off the product and the captions.
How long it takes
- Logo animation or social motion set
- 1–2 weeks
- Launch film or explainer, 30–60 seconds
- 4–8 weeks
How a project runs
- Week 101
Brief & script
Who the film is for, the one thing it has to say, and a script agreed before anything is designed.
- Week 202
Style frames & storyboard
Key frames in the final look and a storyboard of every shot, so changes happen on paper, not in animation.
- Weeks 3–603
Animation
Built to the approved storyboard, with a first cut to review and comment on by timestamp.
- Weeks 6–704
Sound & revisions
Music and sound laid in, then two rounds of revisions on the full cut.
- Week 805
Exports & handover
Every aspect ratio and format you need, captions, and the project files.
Motion work is quoted per piece, because a five-second logo sting and a 60-second 3D product film are different jobs. The biggest drivers are length, how much original illustration or 3D modelling the piece needs, and how many cut-downs you want. You get a fixed quote after the brief.
Motion graphics animate design elements such as type, shapes, icons, logos and interfaces to explain or sell something. Character animation tells a story through characters acting it out. Most brand work, including explainers, launch films and logo animation, is motion graphics, and it is what we specialise in.
Yes. We model and animate in Blender for product films, turntables and 3D title sequences, and combine 3D renders with 2D motion in After Effects when a piece needs both.
For quick drafts, mood films and background footage, often yes. For work where the product, logo and type have to be exact and on-brand in every frame, AI video still drifts, which is why brand films are still animated by hand. Many of our projects now use both.
MP4 and ProRes for video, Lottie JSON for animation that runs inside a website or app, and GIF only where a platform insists. Every piece comes in the aspect ratios you post in, with captions burned in or supplied as SRT files.
You do. On final payment we hand over the exported films and the After Effects and Blender project files, and you are free to use and edit them anywhere.
