The Short Answer
In India in 2026, a simple 2D logo animation of five to ten seconds costs ₹3,000 to ₹15,000 from a freelancer and ₹15,000 to ₹60,000 from a studio. A 3D logo animation typically costs ₹40,000 to ₹1,50,000. Sound design, extra formats and variations for social are usually priced on top.
Logo Animation Prices at a Glance
The price depends on whether the animation is custom or template-based, 2D or 3D, and how many versions you need. The table shows typical market ranges in 2026.
| Type | Length | Typical price in India |
|---|---|---|
| Template-based 2D | 3 to 8 s | ₹1,500 to ₹5,000 |
| Custom 2D, freelancer | 5 to 10 s | ₹3,000 to ₹15,000 |
| Custom 2D, studio | 5 to 10 s | ₹15,000 to ₹60,000 |
| 3D logo reveal | 5 to 10 s | ₹40,000 to ₹1,50,000 |

What Changes the Price
The biggest factors are how custom the idea is, 2D versus 3D, the number of formats and aspect ratios, and sound. A logo that animates from its own construction or meaning takes more thought than a generic reveal, and that thinking is what you are paying for.
- Concept: a custom idea based on the logo's shape or story takes longer than a standard effect.
- 2D or 3D: 3D needs modelling, materials and lighting before the animation begins.
- Versions: horizontal, vertical, short and long cuts, light and dark backgrounds.
- Sound: a short sound mark makes the animation work as an audio signature too.
The Formats You Actually Need
Ask for MP4 for social and video, a transparent version for editors, and Lottie or WebM for your website and app. A heavy GIF on a homepage is a common mistake; our guide to Lottie, GIF, MP4 and WebM explains which to use where.
Avoiding a Generic Intro
Template logo animations are cheap because they are reused, which means your intro may look like many others. A custom animation should come from the logo itself: how it is built, what it means, how the brand moves. That is also what makes it recognisable over time.
Keep it short. Long logo intros at the start of videos cost watch time, as we explain in why viewers leave in the first three seconds. Use the animation at the end, or keep it under two seconds at the start.
Logo Animation as Part of a Motion System
The best value comes from treating the logo animation as the start of a motion system: the same easing, timing and transitions reused in reels, ads and the website. That makes every future piece cheaper and more consistent.
