The Short Answer

In India in 2026, a 3D website costs between ₹1,00,000 and ₹25,00,000 depending on what the 3D does. A normal website with one interactive 3D product scene typically lands between ₹1,00,000 and ₹3,00,000. A scroll-driven 3D site with several scenes runs ₹3,00,000 to ₹10,00,000, and configurators or immersive experiences start around ₹6,00,000.

The wide range exists because a "3D website" can mean one rotating product or an entire world. Here is what each level includes, what moves the price, and how to compare quotes from different studios.

Four Levels of 3D Website

Most projects fit one of four levels. Decide which one you need before asking for quotes, because each level is a different amount of work, not a different finish on the same work.

LevelWhat you getTypical price in India
3D hero or viewerOne product the visitor can rotate, zoom or watch come apart₹1,00,000 to ₹3,00,000 including the site
Scroll 3D storyThree to five scenes that animate as you scroll₹3,00,000 to ₹10,00,000
ConfiguratorColours, materials and parts the buyer changes live₹6,00,000 to ₹20,00,000
Immersive siteCustom shaders, sound and interaction, closer to a game₹12,00,000 upward

These are market ranges across Indian studios and agencies in 2026, not a quote. Freelancers can come in lower for a single scene, and large agencies in Mumbai and Bengaluru often quote above these bands.

What Moves the Price

The biggest factors are the 3D models, the number of scenes, how interactive each scene is, and how well it must run on budget phones. The website around the 3D costs about what any custom site costs.

  • Models: converting CAD files usually costs ₹8,000 to ₹40,000 per product; modelling from photos can cost more. Our 3D rendering price guide breaks modelling costs down further.
  • Scenes: each scene has its own camera, lighting and loading plan, so cost rises per scene.
  • Interaction: scroll, hover and click states multiply the work compared with a model that simply spins.
  • Performance: most Indian traffic is mobile, often on mid-range Android phones. Keeping a scene smooth there is where much of the engineering time goes.

Costs Buyers Forget

The items missing from low quotes are usually copywriting, a designed fallback for devices that cannot run the 3D, SEO-readable text around the scenes, and changes when your product range changes. Ask about each one.

Hosting a 3D site costs little more than a normal site, because the models are static files served from a CDN. If someone quotes a large monthly fee for "3D hosting", ask what it covers.

Is a 3D Website Worth It for an Indian Business?

It is worth it when the product is the pitch: furniture, jewellery, real estate, consumer electronics, architecture, and D2C brands competing on design. It is rarely worth it for a service business whose buyers want proof and prices more than spectacle.

If you are unsure, start with one 3D hero scene on a fast normal site. It gives you most of the effect at a fraction of the cost, and you can extend it later. Our explainer on what a 3D website is and when a business needs one goes deeper.

How To Get Comparable Quotes

Give every studio the same brief: which level you want, how many products or scenes, what 3D files you have, three reference sites, and your rough budget. Then compare what each quote includes, not just the total.

Ask to open two or three of their live 3D sites on your own phone. Screenshots and showreels do not tell you whether a site loads fast on a real device.
